Luis has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master in Conflict Management and Development. He has undergone high specialization studies on Negotiation, Mediation and multi-stakeholder agreements facilitation among others.
Since 2009, he has worked on peacebuilding projects related to participatory processes for urban restoration and the social prevention of violence in violence-prone areas in Mexico. Also, he has been a professor on the Theory of Conflict and reconciliation and Design and implementation of social proyectos in the faculty of Human Rights at the Cloister of Sor Juana University, as well as a trainer for the judiciary of the State of Guanajuato Mexico on a peaceful solution to controversies.
He is also a certified Yoga instructor specialized in working with vulnerable groups such as immigrants, trauma survivors or deprived of liberty as well as people who suffer from depression, grief o any kind of addiction.
Nowadays, he splits his time between his roles as the Deputy Director of the Alianza para la Regeneración Urbana AC (www.arumx.org); his yoga classes and different proyectos of environment restoration of the rainforests of southeast Mexico.
